Paper Man starring Jeff Daniels and Emma Stone is a 2010 MPI Media Group release which depicts strained relationships, imaginary friends and a deeper understanding of how giving returns rewards making life worth more.
The story develops around a wannabie writer Richard Dunn, played by Jeff Daniels, who may have gotten published but no one bought his book. With a wealthy wife doctor who pays his bills he heads to New Hampshire to find the solitude he thinks he needs to be productive. His wife heads back to her work in New York. Soon he meets a high school girl Abby (played by Emma Stone) who just happens to have the same maturity problems as he and shares another problem, they both have imaginary friends. The two make a strong bond that seems to edge onto something more than friendship yet finishes as, well I will let you find that out.
This is a really good movie that will stir your heart and give you some understanding in relationships and how fading communication in those relationships can be saved by the strangest events. You will not find out how to become a best selling author.
