Staring Max Minghella, Sophia Myles, John Malkovich and Jim Broadbent the film is about students traversing the art world. Director Terry Zwigoff returns to the theme of his films "Crumb" and "Ghost World"; the isolation of sensitve people whose interests and work are under-appreciated in an insipid contemporary world. This is Zeigoff's second adaption of a comic story by Daniel Clowes, after "Ghost World", for which they shared an Academy Award nomination for Best Screenplay in 2002.

Unable to find the secret to Stephanies heart while awake, Stephane searches for the answer in his dreams.
